Converting Trash Into Treasure
Waste Circularity provides reduction to full diversion & elimination of municipal solid waste through WinWerks’ advanced, proprietary treatment processes. Landfill owners create income streams, environmental benefits, new jobs, and streamlined waste management processes—all while supporting community sustainability goals. Best of all, it can operate at zero cost. Imagine it as a limitless, virtual landfill replacement.
Turn Landfills into Resource Mines
Winwerks uses engineering, turnkey design build delivery, and optional financing to make site specific &innovative solutions that turn landfills into resource-rich sites. We can extract and convert MSW into valuable materials like graphite/graphene to sand and gravel, refuse derived fuels, significantly aiding environmental preservation. This process redefines waste management and advances sustainability in impactful ways.
- Groundbreaking methods that optimize waste management practices with high efficiency
- Recovers valuable resources from landfills, supporting environmental conservation
- Converts current landfills into sustainable resource hubs, driving long-term sustainability
Giving Waste a New Purpose
WinWerks Technology Examples
MSW into Strategic Minerals
Divert your garbage loads to our local site to shred, bale, and wrap Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) into feedstock units which process through microwave machines creating graphite, graphene, ultra-pure water, and glass. Output moves into industrial reuse in EV cars and lightweight structural materials. Generates a 30-year income stream to the municipality that provides the MSW, plus jobs, sustainability credits, no air, groundwater, compliance issues.
Another pair of solutions create construction grade sand or aggregate substitutes.
Turning Dirty Plastic into Clean Sand
From dirty plastics, 1-7 ,including one use plastic bags our output looks like construction sand or limestone. It is one-fourth the weight of the aggregate material it replaces and reduces water absorption of the finished product, which is important in climates that have freeze-thaw cycles. It also has an insulation R-value that is almost three-times higher than sand and offers fire resistance when added to concrete or aggregates.
Garbage to Gravel
Another MSW transformation technology produces construction grade aggregates, our "garbage to gravel" process. This patented methodology transforms household trash(MSW) into a manufactured aggregate, suitable for replacing virgin coarse aggregate (gravel) in various construction applications. The methodology removes all chemicals of concern and contaminants in MSW. Processing MSW into an aggregate that meets EPA and DOT standards is achieved by solubilization, suspension, dewatering, dilution, encapsulation, and sequestration.
Converting Waste into Energy
Trash and waste to energy production? MSW streams can be converted to refused derived fuels that replace coal in coal fired plants or used to create electricity into the grid. WinWerks Carbon-Negative Waste-to-Energy strategy centers around a revolutionary idea to attain carbon negativity. This approach seeks to produce energy from waste and take it one step further by actively sequestering and removing more carbon dioxide from the atmosphere than is emitted during the entire process. This novel vision represents a steadfast commitment to transforming waste into a valuable resource and simultaneously combating climate change. It represents a paradigm shift towards a more sustainable and environmentally conscious future.
Anaerobic Digestion
The system challenge comes from maintaining a combined biological and mechanical process, with enough energy to create a respectable return. Adding a WinWerks sponsored Energy Device to your existing or new anaerobic digesters will increase your RNG production for up to 5 times more RNG. This microbial based technology generates hydrogen gas (H2) formation. The H2 is then converted to CH4 by H2-oxidizing methanogens. Thus, the process stabilizes AD operation by accelerating the consumption of volatile fatty acids into CH4, profitable RNG for pipeline distribution.
By stabilizing waste, we prevent 3-4 pounds of GHG emissions per ton per day, ensuring an eco-friendlier approach.
- Options for cutting-edge processes transforming waste into high-value nanomaterial products efficiently, or lower cost construction aggregates, or enhanced RNG/ refuse derived fuels. These additions decrease landfill costs and land footprints, and risks from escaping methane into the atmosphere, groundwater contamination, expensive leachate treatment and PFAS destruction.
- Generates sustainable resources from stabilized manufacturing processes
- Experience the Waste-to-Circular Manufacturing (WtCM) process as waste becomes valuable resources
Waste to Resource Innovation
WinWerks science based innovations represent the height of waste-to-resource innovation, recovering materials and energy for reuse in manufacturing, construction projects and, green energy production. By diverting waste from landfills, we lower the demand for new raw materials and support a sustainable production cycle.
- Effectively diverts waste from landfills, lessening environmental impact
- Minimizes reliance on virgin raw materials in production processes
- Advanced technology enabling efficient and impactful waste repurposing
